– Grade 1: R1,214,805 – R1,288,095 per annum (all-inclusive package)

Requirements:
– Appropriate qualification allowing registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in neurosurgery.
– Current registration with HPCSA (2023/2024).
– Experience: Grade 1 (0-5 years), Grade 2 (5-10 years), Grade 3 (10 years and above).
Duties:
– Diagnosis and treatment of neurosurgical patients at CHBAH.
– Provision of outreach services at satellite units.
– Supervision of registrar research.
– Self-research and publication as part of joint appointment responsibilities with WITS University.
– Teaching of nursing and allied staff.
– Supervising junior medical staff.
– Attendance of relevant administrative meetings.
– Participation in the academic program and research activities.
– Ensuring proper record keeping.
– Reporting to the head of unit on service delivery and quality improvement plans.
– Strengthening regional and district health systems.
