Requirements:
– Grade 12 with Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification allowing registration with SANC.
– Current registration with SANC.
– Minimum of 10 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse.
– Minimum of 7 years of experience in HIV/AIDS, STI, and TB services.
– Post-basic nursing qualification in Primary Health Care/Nursing assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment, and NIMART trained.
– Knowledge of District Health Information System (DHIS) TIER.NET application in clinical management.
– Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint).
– Communication skills (verbal and written).
– Valid Driver’s license.
– Willingness to participate in outreach programs.
– Knowledge of relevant statutes and policies governing the Public Service and Nursing Profession.
– Knowledge of Performance Management and Development system.
– Knowledge and application of Nursing Act, Public Service Regulation, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Public Finance Management and Treasury Regulations.
– Understanding of Batho-Pele principles, patient’s charter, and Quality assurance system.
– Operational and people management skills.
– Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and health users.
– Knowledge of Operation Phuthuma improvement plans.
Duties:
– Supervise and ensure effective and efficient patient care.
– Implement HAST strategies in line with 95-95-95 HIV and TB prescripts.
– Develop unit reports, analyze, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of nursing care plans.
– Evaluate case identification, treatment, and retention in accordance with HIV and TB management pillars.
– Coordinate PMTCT program.
– Provide relevant information to healthcare users for optimal healthcare.
– Maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders.
– Manage and monitor utilization of human, financial, and physical resources.
– Maintain professional growth and ethical standards through training and research.
– Work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and relieve the supervisor.
– Participate in the analysis and formulation of nursing guidelines, norms, and standards.
– Manage effective utilization and supervision of resources.
– Develop operational unit plans.
– Implement ideal clinic framework and other protocols aligned with national and provincial strategies.
– Attend meetings and trainings as approved.
– Display high levels of organizational and problem-solving skills.
– Coordinate and facilitate financial planning and control of condition grant.
– Participate in Operation Phuthuma meetings and reporting.
